Short Course Description
Know the basics of cooking but want to learn more? This course is specifically designed to teach men the basics of cooking including Cooking to save money, How to use leftovers, Cooking for health, Cooking for weight loss, Cooking using seasonal produce and much more. Classes will be based around the 5 core food groups - Eggs & Diary, Fruit & Vegetables, Rice & Pasta, Meat, game and poultry and Seafood.Short Course Requirements
What is included in the cost of the course?
- All food water and soft drink
- Course workbook including course outline, theory notes and activities, tips & recipes.
- Use of SCIT kitchen hat and apron
- Use of all kitchen knives and utensils
Please bring a pen to class and wear protective clothing - long pants, socks and flat enclosed shoes
How Do I Enrol?

You can enrol over the phone and we will complete all of the necessary forms for you and take your payment. Payments are accepted by credit card on (07) 5459 3000 between 8am – 5pm Mon-Fri.
In Person
Call into any of our Customer Contact Centres and we will provide you will full details of your course and complete your enrolment forms with you.
We can take payment directly over the counter using cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS – Mon-Fri 8.30am – 4.30pm at the following Campuses:
Once you have received your enrolment pack. Return your completed form including payment (cheque, money order or credit card details) to:
Fax your completed enrolment documentation with your credit card details (including card number, expiry date and name on the card) to (07) 5459 3001. Be sure to include either certified copies of documents or approval for the on-line validation process to claim concessions.
