Considering Migration?
Are you hoping to improve your chances of obtaining skilled migration through study in Australia?
If so, Sunshine Coast TAFE offers a number of pathways to help you acquire a recognised qualification in several of the occupations currently on the Australian Government's Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL).
Sunshine Coast TAFE has developed an innovative set of programs that are designed to meet this need and assist students to obtain the necessary prerequisite qualifications for recognition by the various national assessing bodies including:
- Cook
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Hairdresser
- Certificate III in Hairdressing
- Welfare Worker
- Diploma of Community Welfare Work
- Diploma of Community Services (Lifestyle & Leisure)
- General Clothing Tradesperson (Fashion)
- Diploma of Textiles, Clothing & Footwear
- General Gardener
- Certificate III and IV in Horticulture
- Diploma of Conservation and Land Management
- Bricklayer
- Certificate III in Brick/Blocklaying
International students who meet specific criteria are encouraged to apply as part of the General Skilled Migration program. Since the Sunshine Coast is currently classified as a Regional Area, students completing programs with us can earn an additional five points towards the migration points test.
