How to Apply
In this section you will find a step by step guide for International Students to enrolling with Sunshine Coast TAFE.
1. Complete your application
Complete the International Application Form.
- Print PDF and post/fax the International Application Form (PDF 250KB)
You will need the following supporting documents:
- Copy of passport and visa pages
- Educational certificates and academic records
- Evidence of employment history (if required)
- English Language Test results - International English Language Testing System (IELTS); Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL); International Second Language Proficiency Rating (ISLPR)
- References from employers
- Portfolio of artwork
2. You will receive an offer of a place
This may be a conditional offer on the basis that you meet certain conditions or requirements. These will be stated in the offer. This offer will also include TAFE Queensland's Refund and Transfer Policy and Terms and Conditions of study.
3. Before the expiry date on your offer you should:
- Pay the tuition fees and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) as stated on the offer by bank cheque, credit card or telegraphic transfer
- Read the Refund and Transfer Policy and Terms and Conditions forms which accompanied your offer
- Return the signed copy of the Refund and Transfer Policy either by fax, mail or email
- Provide evidence that you have met any conditions stated in your offer of a place
4. Receive your confirmation of enrolment
We will send you the following items:
- Confirmation of enrolment
- Receipt of payment of tuition fees (where payment is made locally)
- Overseas student health cover (OSHC) brochure
- Information about accommodation providers and airport reception
5. Apply for your student visa
For information on student visas and how to apply see the Department of Immigration and Citzenship website
The Australian Embassy must see your:
- Proof of tuition fee payment
- Confirmation of enrolment
- Offer of a place
6. Arrange your travel after collecting your student visa
Please note your payment for OSHC must be made before arriving in Australia.
7. Arrange for accommodation
For either homestay or rental/share please see our Accommodation section.
8. Attend the orientation day
Attendance is compulsory. Orientation detail will be forwarded to you with the offer of a place.
