Income Support
Centrelink provides financial assistance for students in the form of Austudy, Abstudy or Youth Allowance. The TAFE Counsellors can assist you with the application process and with advice regarding applications for time to pay your fees. Confidential advice is available from TAFE Counsellors for students in financial difficulties.
Tip
You must provide concession evidence at time of enrolment to substantiate your request, acceptable forms of evidence are listed below:
- Centrelink HCC or PCC (if phone enrolment you must provide Centrelink customer Reference number and give consent to the on-line validation process between Centrelink and SCIT.
- DVA (Dept of Veterans Affairs) can only present an original card, or a copy certified by a Justice of the Peace or Commissioner for Declarations to our Customer Service Centres.
- Birth Certificate or passport for proof of age.
- A letter from your local Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander community leaders or Sunshine Coast TAFE Student Support Officer.
In most cases our advertised prices are approximate at the time of printing only and may be subject to change without notice, based on when you enrolled and whether you are eligible for concession/exemption.
Note: Current evidence (or certified copies) must be produced at time of enrolment and the concession can not be backdated.
