Fees
The following fees and charges apply to most courses at Sunshine Coast TAFE. These fees are set by the Queensland Government Vocational Education, Training and Employment Regulation 2000.
- Tuition Fees - these fees are the students’ contribution to their training instruction. Concessions may apply.
- Student Services Fees - these fees are the students’ contribution towards the facilities and support areas available to the student at Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE.
- Student Services Fees – students may be charged for printed learning resources where these are provided in lieu of textbooks.
- Protective equipment charges/compulsory uniform.
- Students may be required to purchase apparel that is essential whilst studying eg safety boots, safety glasses, uniforms etc. Once purchased these items remain the property of the student.
- Fee for Service (FFS charges) – For students undertaking programs at commercial rates therefore the enrolment fee is inclusive of all fees and charges and no exemptions apply.
- Student ID cards – The student ID card fee is payable at time of enrolment when program fees are paid. This is used for identification purposes when entering classrooms and for borrowing resources from libraries. ID cards are valid for the duration of your enrolment.

TAFE QLD Enrolment Policy for Non-QLD Residents
As of 01/07/03 to access QLD Government funded training, you must have a Queensland residential address. Advertised fee structures apply to QLD residents only – if resident is outside of QLD, fees may differ.
Fees and user charges (for example, safety kits) are due at time of enrolment. Until your fees and charges are paid or Sunshine Coast TAFE accepts alternative arrangements, you are not enrolled and your name will not be entered onto a class roll. Sunshine Coast TAFE may withhold results or awards until all fees and charges owing by the student are paid in full. Debt recovery action will be taken to recover outstanding fees.
