At Sunshine Coast TAFE, you will be recognised for your existing skills and knowledge and previously completed competencies.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) can fast-track you to recognised qualifications, as less time is spent undertaking formal study for what you already know. It's as simple as talking to your teacher about your previous experience, and providing work samples, records of workplace activities and supervisor reports. Credit is also available for any competencies you have completed previously that match the competencies of your selected program. Call us to talk about your options.
RPL is the process of formally recognising the skills and knowledge you have acquired, regardless of how, when or where the learning occurred. Through the RPL process, your existing skills and knowledge will be assessed against current industry standards/qualifications. Your current skills and knowledge may have been obtained through the following:

At completion of the RPL process, you may be provided with a full or part qualification. Where applicable, you will be advised of training options available to satisfy the requirements of a qualification. RPL is offered for all courses advertised by Sunshine Coast TAFE
