Student Pre-departure Guide

Students interested in enrolling with Sunshine Coast TAFE are encouraged to read the Sunshine Coast TAFE Student Pre-Enrolment Guide.

Enrolment Conditions

Issues may rise beyond Sunshine Coast TAFE's control, which affect the ability to deliver programs. While every effort will be made to conduct all programs as advertised, Sunshine Coast TAFE reserves the right to change or otherwise revise any program-related issues, including programs offered, class timetables, class locations and teacher allocations.


We will make every reasonable attempt to advise students of any changes made to their selected program of study. The details of courses and programs are correct at time of advertising. Please check all details prior to enrolment.



Change of Enrolment

If you decide to change, repeat or withdraw from a unit of competency or a program, please see your teacher and/or a TAFE Counsellor as soon as possible to discuss these changes and work out together the most suitable career and study plan for you.


Changes to enrolments are not effective until the required Change of Enrolment Details Form is completed and submitted to a Client Service Centre. Sunshine Coast TAFE will withdraw a student’s enrolment if the student does not participate for 10 programmed study days.


It is your responsibility to inform Centrelink of any changes. Failure to inform Centrelink may mean you will have to repay some or all of the monies you have received.


It may be possible to transfer your fees if you transfer from one competency to another within the first two weeks of study. If you choose to change your enrolment after this time you will be liable for additional fees.



Personal Information

TAFE Queensland uses information provided from enrolments for administrative and legislative purposes only. Commonwealth and State Government Departments will be granted access to enrolment information for specific purposes, such as Austudy validations by Centrelink.


TAFE Queensland is bound by law to disclose such information. No further access to your enrolment information will be provided to any other organisations, without your consent, in accordance with the Information Privacy Principles contained in the State of Queensland’s Information Standards.
