Young Chefs' Challenge

Sunshine Coast TAFE, in partnership with Rotary Club of Buderim present Sunshine Coast Young Chefs' Challenge

The Challenge - To prepare a three course meal for two people at a cost of no more than $40.00. All schools (Grade 10, 11 and 12) in the Sunshine Coast district are invited to participate. Nominations close Friday 5th August, 2011.

Sunshine Coast TAFE offers courses that allow school students to complete a broad range of industry focused vocational qualifications as part of their Year 11 and 12 education.

The benefits of completing a vocational TAFE course whilst at school include:

  • Gain credit points towards the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) - Certificate II courses will gain 4 points and identified Certificate III courses will gain 8 points.
  • Gain credits into a TAFE Diploma or university studies after you complete school.
  • Save money by starting at school and applying credits towards further study.
  • Fast-track further study after school.
  • Gain job-ready skills to get you working and earning sooner.
  • Receive direct entry into TAFE courses when you finish school.
