International Student Support

Sunshine Coast TAFE prides itself on helping students get the most out of their learning experience with student support services readily available.

International Student Office

At our dedicated international office you will receive all of the information, advice, guidance and support you may need. Staff are friendly and helpful, with many years of experience in assisting international students to make a successful start settling into the region and into their studies at Sunshine Coast TAFE.

A comprehensive orientation to the region and Sunshine Coast TAFE takes place before formal study programs commence each semester. Visiting speakers provide information about many local and Queensland matters, including sun safety, legal matters, beach awareness, and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) medical insurance.

Counselling staff

The Institute has fully qualified and trained counsellors based at each of the Institute campuses. The counsellors provide assistance to students with:

• Personal counselling
• Educational counselling
• Career and course counselling
• Support and information.

The counselling service is free, confidential and non-judgemental.
